Get Kate’s Style: Lace Alexander McQueen look-a-like from the Queen’s Jubilee service

We can’t deny that Kate’s outfit for the Queen’s Jubilee service was absolutely stunning yesterday and after the Queen herself, Kate was the best dressed lady in St. Paul’s.

The lace Alexander McQueen number appears to have been custom designed for Kate, so there’s little chance of us ladies snagging the style off the peg.  Even if the dress was part of McQueen’s current collection and available to buy in stores, it would still cost a small fortune to buy.

Enter my “RepliKate”

I found this and I just couldn’t WAIT to share it with you, as I know there are plenty of ladies just aching to get their hands on a similar style to the dress Kate wore:

Isn’t it gorgeous?  The dress is the Amy Childs Lace Pencil Dress from Lipsy London.  I love it because it’s covered in a lace overlay, like Kate’s dress, plus it’s one of the only Lace dresses I’ve found with sleeves (albeit three quarter length).  It also features a boat-neckline hemmed in lace – again, just like Kate’s dress!  The colour isn’t a million miles away either.

My “RepliKate” dress is by Lipsy London & it costs £65.

Let’s take a look at Amy Childs wearing the dress and we can compare it to the one Kate is wearing:

I am so in love with this dress – I think it’s a pretty good ‘RepliKate’ and the price is great too.   I am attending a wedding next month and I’m hoping to wear this Lipsy dress and have my hair like Kate’s from the recent Olympic Gala (plaited and pinned up) with perhaps a headband/fascinator.  I can’t wait!

To really get Kate’s look, you’d also need to pair the Lipsy dress with a pair of nude pumps – I’ve also recently updated my “Get Kate’s Style: L.K. Bennett Pumps” page with some new choices, perfect if you’re looking for a shoe cheaper than L.K. Bennett offers.

Have you found any replikates?  PLEASE do share with us ladies in the comments section, cheers!

For the USA fans, I found a CopyKate/RepliKate pair of Kate’s LK Bennett ‘Maddox Wedge’ at JCPenney (a large chain department store) for $35 online, but I bought mine for $20 in store. They’re the Worthington Emma Wedge Pumps:

  2. I guess this’s indeed one of the most look alike pieces…but lace is so tricky. I remember last year there were some pieces that reminded us somewhat her Erdem blue lace dresses during the Canada visit but all those knock-offs looked….tacky and cheesy. This blush one is even more picky IMHO…

  3. This isn’t regarding her Jubilee looks, but I just received notice from Sebago that they now have the Bala loafers from last summer’s Canada trip back in stock in the same color as Kate’s as well as other colors.

I just bought the baja shoes from Sebago. They are so comfortable and worth the wait and the money. I put myself on the wait list and they notified last week.

  4. The Duchess looks beautiful and appropriately dressed for the occasion.

  5. I found a beautiful cream lace dress with long sleeves from Coast

  6. hi there. yes the dress from lipsy is gorgeous, but for those of you who like to cover up more
and would prefer long sleeves, i found a seller on e bay selling nice dress, in fact dresses.
she also sells white i think it’s issa dress, and the navy blue lace dress as well. prices start from about £30 so it’s not bad. check it out. the shop is called gorgeousdreamgifts.
